As the Personal Assistant to the Mayor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Mayor and Council to deliver the strategic community plan and shape the future of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
You will be the first point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders wishing to meet with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor or other Councillors and will be responsible for coordinating their attendance at community events, media interviews, meetings and other appearances as well as travel itineraries.
You will work closely with the CEO and Executive Manager of Governance and Risk Services to maintain a communication link between Council, the Executive Leadership Team and the community including through compilation and preparation of briefing notes and reports, and management of the City's centralised elected member communication systems. You will also work closely with the Governance team to ensure that Councillors comply with their legislative responsibilities and assist with the coordination and conduct of strategic meetings as well as formal Council meetings.
The Personal Assistant to the Mayor is an integral position within the Office of the CEO and we are seeking someone who is organised, efficient, able to manage their own workload, take initiative and be an energetic member of our close-knit team.
This role is perfect for someone with previous administrative or executive support experience who is looking for exposure to a dynamic workplace and opportunity for career development. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high volume and deadline-driven environment while delivering work on time, to a high standard and with attention to detail. Local government experience will be highly regarded.
Salary and BenefitsRemuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Salary ranges between $76,988 to $83,321
