Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking multiple passionate Personal Care Assistants to join to join our Care Team at the Landings, North Turramurra. We have casual, part-time and full time vacancies across all shifts.

A sign-on bonus applies to this role. The successful applicant will receive a $1500 sign-on bonus, payable in three stages across 18 months from commencement, specifically $500 payable at six, twelve and 18 months of service. As our sign-on bonus is intended to encourage successful applicants to stay at LDK, you will only receive the full bonus if you stay with us for 18 months.

The Role

To provide Personal Care and/or domestic assistance support services to residents as allocated by the Shift Supervisor and/or Village Care Manager. Your duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing Personal Care as requested by the resident and in line with the resident’s care plan (where documented)
• Responding to emergency call outs
• Understanding and implementing care plans and assist with delivery of range of activities (social, physical, emotional)
• Provision of manual handling to assist residents with daily tasks

About you

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will have proven yourself as a Personal Care Assistant who treats residents in a respectful and courteous manner. Further, you will have:

• At least 6 months experience in a similar role in Australia
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Valid First aid / CPR certificates (Mandatory)
• Previous experience working in community or aged care would be highly regarded
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and -interpersonal skills\
• Ability to travel to and from our village (We are located in North Turramurra, Sydney)
