About the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the NDIS Commission) is an independent agency established on 1 July 2018 to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia and a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
Security and Workplace Services
Security and Workplace Services is responsible for enhancing the Commission’s business, security and resilience capability through strategically and operationally managing the national fleet, property and accommodation portfolio. Our protective security and resilience management programs ensure our people, properties and assets remain safe, accessible, secure and fit for purpose across the Commission's footprint.
Key duties
- The successful candidate will report to the Senior Personnel Security Officer and will undertake the following key duties:
- Work within a team responsible for the operational management of the Commission’s Personnel Security arrangements, including pre-employment screening, security clearance processes, ongoing suitability requirements and separating personnel requirements.
- Building and maintaining effective key relationships across the Commission and external stakeholders, including the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
- Assisting with managing security clearance processes and being a point of contact for clearance holders on their respective clearance-related issues.
- Maintain information and data for executive reporting including contributing to executive briefs, corporate reports, dashboards and other business activities that inform decision-making processes.
- Contribute to a supportive team environment, maintaining discretion working closely to ensure cohesive processes and timely resolution.

Employment suitability requirements
All NDIS Commission personnel are required to meet employment suitability requirements prior to, and throughout, their employment.
Pre-employment
To be considered in this role, candidates will need to:
- be an Australian Citizen;
- have a favourable National Police Check;
- have or be willing to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance. See AGSVA website for more details: Security | Sectors | Defence; and
- complete an NDIS Commission external influences and associations declaration form.
