AddressThe Role
As our WA Food & Safety Expert, you will ultimately be responsible for the implementation & adherence of Civeo Australia’s Food Safety standards across our sites based in WA and SA.
Reporting to our Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager, this role involves further assisting Civeo to maintain compliance with respective Food Safety legislation, HACCP, codes of practice, standards, and the adoption of good practice to minimise Food Safety risks, ensure customers’ expectations are met and establish a strong safety culture within the organisation. Additional responsibilities includes;
- Provide technical advice & support to Food Safety and quality projects regarding
- Carry out audits, investigations & inspections
- Advise on Food Safety outcomes & areas of innovation
- Develop & implement corrective & preventive actions
- Assist in the development & maintenance of procedures & work instructions.
- Maintain Food Safety Managements systems
- Support auditing programs incl. with 3rd parties
- Report on the performance of the Food Safety management system
- Promote & mentor good practices with food handling
- Maintain compliance with respective Food Safety legislation
- Site travel on as needs basis
About You
A key element to this position is partnering with our site based staff & wider HSEQ Team. Whether you come from a safety background or, previously worked as a Chef & wish to pursue a career in safety, we’d like to hear from you. Other attributes include;
- Bachelors Degree in Food Science OR Certificate III in Hospitality (highly regarded)
- Prior supervising experience within the hospitality sector
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded)
- An understanding of HACCP, Quality ISO 9001, Food Safety ISO 22000
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to partner with all levels of stakeholders
