This is a great opportunity for a recently registered or an experienced Pharmacist to join our team. Contract position with option to extend.
We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for working with others.
Working alongside our team of Pharmacists you will be involved in providing quality health care solutions to our customers through the dispensing and counseling of prescribed medications, disease and condition education/management, medication adherence solutions, health checks and vaccination services.
Duties and responsibilities will include (and not limited to);
- Dispense prescriptions in accordance with Pharmacy Board regulations
- Support the quality use of medicines by providing counseling and advice on medication and education on health conditions
- Support the quality use of medicines with the aid of DAAs and 7CPA programs
- Record and complete all dispensing in accordance with Medicare requirements
- Prepare Medicare claims
- Front of shop and dispensary supervision
- Coordinate and maintain good dispensary workflow including working with and guiding dispensary technicians
- Ordering of dispensary stock
- Keep an accurate record of all controlled drugs and prepare monthly submissions to DASSA
- Provide vaccination services
- Provide health screening and disease state education
- Be available to other staff members, where requested to assist in dealing with customers

Skills and experience
- Current registration with AHPRA with no restrictions
- Passion for working with people
- Recent experience in community Pharmacy is highly desirable
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Able to work in a fast-paced, and positive environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and care
- A sound knowledge of medication adherence programs such as Guildcare, Medadvisor, and Suremed is highly desirable
- Knowledge of MINFOS POS is highly desirable
- Current PDL professional indemnity insurance
- Professional personal presentation
- Available to work 25-38 hours per week which will include some nights and weekend shifts.
