About the role
- Provide clinical leadership within the Pharmacy multi-disciplinary team using highly developed knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of Pharmacy services for patients responsible for medication procurement, purchasing, dispensing and distribution.
- This role requires a high level of managerial knowledge and skills to provide operational management of the team and a specialist level of clinical knowledge and skills
- Manage the operational delivery of inpatient, outpatient and discharge dispensary services for a large, multidisciplinary Pharmacy team within the RBWH, to deliver efficient services consistent with QH strategic intents, relevant statutory requirements, policies and procedures, and professional and ethical guidelines and standards. Provide critical appraisal of existing policy and utilise problem solving ability to contribute to policy development.
- Provide professional support to staff within the Pharmacy Department and across the hospital, with an emphasis on safe medicines practice and timely and efficient distribution.
