Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as Pharmacist - Training & Delivery, based in Sydney, NSW. This role is fixed term until March 2025.

As a core member of the Training Delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering PSA education and training including face-to-face events in their local state and other locations (as required) working closely with the training assessment and other teams within the organisation. The role includes provision of customer service excellence to members and customers including promotion of PSA products and services.

To be successful in this role, you will be a registered Pharmacist with current or recent experience in the delivery of adult training and assessment in the healthcare sector including providing training, coaching and facilitation, and knowledge of contemporary learning practices, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organisation skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver PSA face-to-face and online training events according to the product (event) brief and PSA management processes:
  • Deliver and facilitate training and assessment according to PSA polices and processes, RTO standards, government contract requirements and customer service agreements;
  • Contribute to the development, validation and moderation of learning materials, including training assessment tools;
  • Provide input on the product development process as required;
  • Contribute to product evaluations in collaboration with other parts of the value chain to measure success and foster a culture of process enhancement and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and leverage local and national professional networks to assist in the promotion of PSA, its products and services, and self to external stakeholders with a view to maximise participation and grow market share;
  • Work outside of normal office hours may be required for this position;
  • Travel as required within the duties of this position.

What we are looking for:

Required/Essential

  • Pharmacist registered with AHPRA with current or recent experience in in any pharmacy practice setting;
  • Experience in the delivery of adult training and assessment in the healthcare sector including providing training, coaching and facilitation, and knowledge of contemporary learning practices and the varying needs of learners;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues and opportunities in contemporary pharmacy practice and workforce development both nationally and internationally;
  • Sound customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage a complex workload and competing priorities to achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines.
  • Sound IT skills including databases and student management systems and experience in the use of digital event technologies such as webinar or videoconference platforms, with a strong desire to utilise new technologies.

Desirable

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor) or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education;
  • Sound knowledge of the VET sector, assessment validation and moderation.
