The Illawarra Hospital Group is recruiting to a temporary part-time Physiotherapist Level 3 position to complement and enhance the current Physiotherapy team. This senior position in Musculoskeletal Outpatients provides specialist patient centred clinical assessment, treatment and education to patients, carers and other health care professionals to ensure delivery of innovative clinical practice models.
This is a temporary part-time (15 hours per week) secondment relief position from 8 April 2024 to 6 April 2025 with the possibility of extension. The position is based at Wollongong Hospital.

What you'll be doing
Providing a high quality specialist physiotherapy service to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced reasoning and practice skills and operate autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision.
Plan, coordinate and implement high levels of clinical expertise and specialised knowledge in their specialty to patients and carers of ISLHD in accordance with NSW Health, ISLHD and physiotherapy policies and procedures and standards.
Providing clinical supervision and support of Level 1 and 2 health professionals, technical and support staff, students and other staff as appropriate.
Participating and assisting with the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting on clinical services.
This position may lead a consultative role within their area of expertise. They may also conduct clinical research and participate in the provision of clinical in-service education programmes to staff and students.
This position may have an operational/supervisory role under the direction of the ISLHD Physiotherapy Head of Discipline or delegate and may be required to manage specific tasks or projects.
You may be required to work across other sites within the District.
Additional Information
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Selection Criteria * Current Physiotherapy Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience in the clinical specialty area.
- Well-developed time management skills, high levels of oral and written communication skills including the proficient use of health based technology.
