Qualifications & experience
- A minimum of one year of experience working with children is preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- General registration with AHPRA (Physical Therapist) is desirable, however, limited registration candidates will be considered with relevant experience.
- A Working With Children’s Check or willing to apply
- Current Australian Driver’s License as this is a Home-Visit based role
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide clinical knowledge and expertise to our paediatric NDIS participants and families
- Provide assessments of clients (0-18) physical skills, learning abilities, and living skills.
- Develop and monitor intervention strategies for children with musculoskeletal, neurological or cardiovascular disabilities.
- Engage with the multidisciplinary team related to the client and attend team meetings
- Consultation and communication with the child's carers and teachers, and building their capacity to support functional development of the participant.
- Assessment report, prescription reports, and annual progress summary report writing.
- Provide aquatic physiotherapy assessment and therapy sessions.

- Good clinical reasoning skills
- Well-developed interaction skills with children of all ages
- Ability to educate families/carers/interpreters in simple language
- Ability to manage challenging conversations with families
- Highly motivated to adapt therapy sessions as per the need of the children
