About the Role
As a Project Scheduler, you will be a key member of the Downer on-site management team and take the lead for building and maintaining schedules for major outages, outage planning, and breakdown response. The focus is on mechanical and electrical works for an operational power station.
The primary focus of the role is working with the Downer and client outage management team to robustly plan and then effectively track progress on annual major outages of power generation plant, with hundreds of resources and tens of thousands of schedule activities. During the outages you will produce live updates to the program at least daily, consulting with the delivery team to ensure it is as up to date as possible. Scenario analysis is an important part of the role, assessing the impacts of delay events and emergent works to identify how to support our client to manage the unexpected with minimal impact on critical path.
In addition to the annual major outages, there are several minor outages or breakdowns and small capitals works projects that require schedules and scheduler's support. Where workload dictates other schedulers may be brought onto the project to provide support.
