About the role:
We are now seeking to employ an experienced Long Term Planner at our Koolan Island Operation on an 8 days on/ 6 days off (12-hour day) roster from Perth, Broome or Derby.
Reporting directly to the Planning Superintendent, the primary focus of this role is for the development and monitoring of equipment maintenance plans, schedules, resourcing and process improvements for the mobile equipment on Koolan Island.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining the maintenance planning and scheduling business flow process.
- Ensuring key performance indicators are captured, maintained and reported as required, not limiting to departmental performance, planning and/or scheduling processes.
- Liaising with production to schedule and confirm maintenance work into production plan, and highlight non-compliance of scheduled maintenance.
- Carry out strategy reviews where required to ensure that all assets are maintained to achieve operational MTBF metrics while not compromising safety or budgets.
- Periodically reviewing and amending cost and time estimation of planned maintenance work as required.
- Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and jobs records database.
- Collaborating with peers to ensure that the BOM list is always up to date.
- Actively participating in continual improvements in planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Collaborating with maintenance supervision to schedule labour and resources for planned maintenance work.
- Performing any other related job that may be assigned from time to time.
- Updating of all resource plans and schedules during the execution of work pack tasks duration, monitoring progress and schedule deviations.
- Investigating and recommending corrective actions where schedule deviates from plan.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and company standards for all planned work pack tasks.
- Maintaining the planning performance centre as required.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Mechanical Trade or Certificate Qualifications.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar position in materials handling or manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Sound knowledge of Pronto is an advantage.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft project.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
