Work Location: Hedland Operations, Rail
- Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: RESI 5:2 Hedland / FIFO 4:3 ex Perth
The Rail Infrastructure planning team are accountable for coordinating various aspects of railway maintenance to ensure efficiency, safety, and optimisation of resources. As a scheduler, you will be responsible for the timing of maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to rail operations, whilst maximising the effectiveness of maintenance.
This role is accountable for communicating network track occupancy schedules to Integrated Planning, Rail Operations and various other internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and update SAP to reflect major maintenance activities.
- Schedule weekly track maintenance tasks based on resource and equipment availability.
- Develop and distribute weekly track occupancy plan for supply chain analysis.
- Manage and monitor rail network outage requests through integrated shutdown application.
- Assist planning team members in developing weekly maintenance schedules.
- Monitor shutdown progress, ensuring activities are within approved durations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred experience in rail maintenance planning
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Current and valid WA C-Class driver’s licence
- Essential knowledge of SAP CMMS and demonstrated experience
- High aptitude for learning new processes and systems
