The Role
In this newly created position, you’ll be responsible for preparing the weekly maintenance work schedules. You’ll establish and maintain master data in SAP to safely and efficiently execute the reliability centered maintenance strategies.
You’ll assist with establishing and monitoring maintenance budgets, developing long term and short-term schedules for plant and equipment, reviewing priorities, performing detailed planning and scheduling of work orders, reviewing work order history and feedback, and updating master data.
This is a permanent, full time position ex Perth to Mt Holland on an 8:6 roster (Wednesday to Wednesday).
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety, Environment and Community
- Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture.
- Ensure planned and scheduled work complies with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies relating to the operations of plant and equipment.
- Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are reported.
Technical/Functional/Role
- Responsible for the daily and weekly planning, and scheduling of the Fixed Plant maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and labour productivity, using the relevant asset management processes.
- Ensure statutory compliance through a clear understanding of all statutory requirements and prioritising the planning and execution of statutory work.
- Develop and maintain plant and equipment master data required for the safe and reliable operation of the plant.
- Prepare weekly and monthly key performance indicators to manage performance of the maintenance function.
- Identify risks that have the capacity to compromise Fixed Plant performance outcomes and escalate concerns for mitigation of potential impacts.
Financial/Budget
- Preparation of budgets, including personnel, capital justification and the collation of data on a systematic basis for progressive forecasting and future estimating.
- Ensure compliance with budget and expenditure protocols and procedures.
- Create purchase requisitions and review invoices against scope of work.
Leadership and Team
- Ensure effective working relationships are built and maintained with other departments and
- stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Contribute as a member of the Covalent team in establishing our desired organisational culture.
- Support and coach team members, managers, and employees.
Role Requirements
Education
- Tertiary qualification.
- Trade qualifications with proven planning and organising experience.
Qualifications/Certifications/Licences/Tickets
- Competent with Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP or Pronto desirable).
- Knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- Drivers Licence.
Experience
- Highly desirable to have at least 5 years’ experience working in a Maintenance Planning role.
- Experience in setting up SAP master data.
- A clear understanding of reliability centred maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Previous process plant and/or shutdown planning experience in mining environment (preferably in hard rock lithium processing).
- Knowledge of strategic planning and project management.
- Knowledge of budgeting, capital expenditure management and project planning.
- Knowledge of legislative statutory & regulatory codes.
- Ability to collate relevant data for and present in meaningful reports for performance tracking and decision-making support.
