As one of Australia's largest urban centres, Melbourne relies heavily on its water resources to sustain its population, industries, and ecosystems. The WTP project is designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality drinking water while ensuring the long-term sustainability of and resilience of the city's water supply systems.The scope of work includes the construction of five combined bioreactor-clarifier tanks and associated feed, waste activated sludge and effluent discharge pipeline connections along with ancillary buildings, pump stations and commissioning services.The proposed works will facilitate the elimination of current high-risk maintenance works and provide the opportunity to implement lower cost, more energy efficient treatment technology through the short cut nitrogen removal process.About the PositionJohn Holland have recently been awarded the Western Treatment Plant project based in Werribee, VIC.We're moving into delivery and are looking to engage with an experienced Planner to join our Design and Engineering team to deliver this key water infrastructure project. This role will move into a site-based delivery position for the duration of the project. Design and procurement experience would be highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:
- Implement planning strategies and audits / reviews for projects.
- Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with JH policies and procedures.
- Ensure monitoring and reporting of Project Controls processes are successfully set-up and implemented on projects.
- Highlight any issues that may impact the effective, efficient and professional planning resources and support to the project including implementing standard processes and reports.
- Interface with project team, partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures
- Proactively lead a planning and controls culture across the project based on best practice and with a focus on risk management, cost control and SQE.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
- Previous experience in a planning role on infrastructure projects
- Design and procurement experience is desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with project teams
