The City of Mandurah Statutory Planning & Lands team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the position of Planning and Land Administration Officer. In this permanent part-time role, you will provide administrative assistance to the Statutory Planning and Lands team to ensure the efficient processing of development applications, subdivisional referrals, town planning advice to customers and effective Land Administration processes. You will:
Be the first point of contact for all customers internal and external.
Provide administration, research and assistance to the Statutory Planning and Lands team including in the coordination of naming of the City’s assets and the City’s land acquisition and disposal process, road closures and other land related matters.
Ensure the provision of information and response to queries is undertaken in an accurate and timely manner.
Effectively support the administration of the City’s property asset base, assess, plan and manage appropriate projects relating to the City’s land holdings including Crown land and interests in other land.
Provide specialist technical advice on Land Administration matters to other City Directorates in a timely manner which aligns with legislative requirements.
Support and assist in the development and delivery of best practice processes ensuring consistent monitoring and maintaining compliance and transparency.
To be successful you will have:
Certificate III in Business Administration or progress towards a Diploma in Local Government Administration or relevant field.
Current C class drivers’ licence.
Current National Police Clearance.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in working within a statutory local government environment
Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (desirable)
General understanding of the town planning approval process and Town Planning Scheme (TPS)
Experience in a similar position in local or state government is desirable.
Strong literacy skill, and experience in the preparation, research and writing of reports.

This permanent part-time (45.6 hours per fortnight) position attracts a competitive Level 4 annual remuneration of pro-rata $75,419 to $81,093 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience and a wide range of benefits to reward your contribution.
