About this opportunity
We are looking for an inspiring individual who can assist in the Planning and Coordination of activities for the Infrastructure Directorate (Maintenance & Renewals, Upgrades, Projects and any associated processes). This opportunity is offered on a fixed term contract ending in November 2024.
This role play’s a key part in assisting in the development and management of the Annual Infrastructure Works Plan. Reporting to the Program Planning Manager a typical week in this role involves:
- Assist in developing and make recommendations for the infrastructure planning strategy.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of infrastructure planning systems.
- Provide support in aligning procedures from Asset Management and Asset Performance & Engineering such as Survey Tram, Maintenance processes, Resources allocations etc.
- Provide information relative to risk and assess the functional risk profile in order to identify and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide information relative to risks and delays for any Maintenance & Renewals works, Project Upgrades etc.
- Provide advice to the Program Planning Manager, Infrastructure on support issues arising from a range of initiatives.
- Coordinate internal infrastructure input into the occupation schedule.
- Input to the development of the AIWP, taking into consideration cross functional strategic orientations and constraints.
- Support the Network and Growth stakeholder engagement at early stage, to identify opportunities and planning synergies
- Attend planning meetings across Infrastructure aligned with relevant timeframe and attend NEP meeting.
About you
Ideally you will have:
- Possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant business or technical discipline.
- Experience in managing planning and scheduling activities associated with a large asset base.
- Sound knowledge of Maintenance Management, planning and reporting systems.
- Experience in, planning, scheduling systems, resource allocation and optimization.
- Proven track record of achievement and experience in a transport operational environment.
- Experience in dealing across multiple functions and coordinating activities.
- Experience in quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies
