Consistent innovation has been key to their success which has seen significant growth year on year. Due to their immense growth, they are looking for a talented Planning Manager to join the business. This business is very well regarded in market and has consistent long tenure.
About the role
Reporting through to the Head of Supply Chain, the Planning Manager is a high-profile role responsible for leading and developing a team of planners and buyers, while ensuring optimal stock coverage according to forecasted customer demand and scheduling onsite production. Key accountability includes:
Duties
- Developing supply chain planning strategies to align to broader business objectives, including DIFOT, GPM & EBIT targets.
- Provide accurate and timely information to contribute to the monthly S&OP process.
- Apply a continuous improvement approach to processes and systems and strive for a 'best in class' supply and production planning environment.
- Lead your planning team to place, expedite and establish PO's in line with forecasted needs to provide optimal stock coverage.
- Involvement in a major transformation program.
- Improve system processes (SAP)
- Extensive purchasing, supply or inventory planning management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated track record of success in managing a team of planners / coordinators.
- Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field such as supply chain or logistics management.
- Highly analytical aptitude and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
