Short Description
We are searching for a Planning Manager to oversee and synchronize our supply chain activities directly under the guidance of the General Manager of Supply Chain. This role is pivotal in aligning supply with demand, optimizing operational efficiency, reducing inventory costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The role will based on our Manufacturing site based South of Bendigo.
The Role
As the Planning Manager, you will:
- Lead short-term strategic forecasting in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination among farming, supply chain, and demand teams to ensure a cohesive operation.
- Implement process enhancements and industry best practices.
- Mentor and guide supply, production, and demand planners.
- Utilize advanced analytics to optimize production scenarios and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to gauge planning efficacy and overall operational performance.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to on-time delivery and customer satisfaction targets.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and implement necessary risk mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to senior leadership.
- Minimum of 5 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, or agriculture sectors.
- Proficient in demand planning tools and software, coupled with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on driving results and fostering continuous improvement.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
