Use Strategy and Housing division is currently seeking to appoint a Planning Officer to assist with strategic planning projects across the Central City District and the assessment of planning proposals to meet statutory obligations and Government policy. About You
In this role, you will provide advice and support to key internal and external stakeholders, to resolve issues and achieve practical solutions and good outcomes for land use planning projects. You will be able to identify, critically analyse and evaluate key issues, recommend innovative options, solutions, practices and processes, respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner and be comfortable assisting in negotiating outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to land use planning outcomes across several Local Government
Areas around Sydney’s second CBD. You will be completing planning assessments, contributing to and undertaking small projects as well as other planning programs and activities to support the achievement of state, regional and local planning objectives. Key knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant planning and environmental legislation and processes Essential requirements
- Tertiary degree qualification or other equivalent qualification
