The Planning & Performance Manager leads the Operations dispatch, planning, reporting, stores and performance management activities across gas contracts being a key enabler for optimising Service Stream’s Safety and Performance culture.Nature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Clayton, VICReporting Line: Head of Gas OperationsKey Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining strong performance culture with the Planning and Performance team and be a key leader in driving across the wider Gas Operations business
- Identify and engage with peers and other key people from the business on Gas Operations strategy, plan and performance requirements for success.
- Develop structured short, medium and long-term works plans to drive resource balancing and optimise utilisation across the Gas Operations workforce.
- Support developing resilience, reliability and optimal performance across Gas Operations.
- Analyse data and develop timely standardised daily, weekly and montly reporting as well as adhoc reporting to support material, equipment and labor performance requirements.
- Understand the physical to finacial link with Operations in order to to determine cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organising, and scheduling work; preparing bids; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and determining cost effectiveness.
- Assist in conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.

- Consult with clients, vendors, designers or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Organise and manage a centralised “cost to serve” and “future work” database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilised.
- Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
- Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- 5+ years across utility commercial, operational and financial business units.
- Gas Industry experience an advantage.
- Engineering or Finance qualifications favourably regarded.
- Certificate IV Frontline Management favourably regarded.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Strong Commercial Acumen and works planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
