Salary1. Install and set up diesel-powered dewatering pump systems according to specifications.
2. Ensure proper alignment and connection of pumps, engines, and associated components.
3. Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, pumps, and related equipment.
4. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
5. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with diesel-powered pumps.
6. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
7. Execute repairs and overhauls on diesel engines and pump systems as needed.
8. Replace faulty components and ensure proper functioning of the entire system.
9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.
10. Document equipment specifications and modifications for future reference.
11. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on diesel-powered pump systems.
12. Ensure that all repairs and installations meet safety standards and regulations.
13. Work closely with other team members, including engineers and site managers, to coordinate pump installations and maintenance schedules.
14. Provide technical assistance and support to colleagues as required.Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant trade qualification or work experience in lieu
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks in physically demanding environments.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with a focus on dewatering pump systems.
