Plant Operator/Waste Facility Operator - South Burnett Region

We are currently on the hunt for Plant Operators/Waste Facility Operators at multiple locations across the South Burnett Region.

Do you have experience operating a Landfill Compactor, excavator and Front-End Loader and have a sound knowledge in waste management/transfer station operations?

This position requires a candidate who can:

• Establish and maintain tip face, batters and bund walls and face heights within standards and acceptable limits.

• Push, compact and cover waste to maximise the life of the Waste Facility and in accordance with operating conditions.

• Ensure public safety through maintaining internal road networks and signage.

• Carry out daily plant and machinery checks (electronically), organise scheduled services and repairs, clean equipment and securely store at the end of each day.

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced plant operator, preferably with the following tickets, however these are not deal breakers and willingness to gain these tickets will be favoured:

• Loader (tracked and wheeled),

• HR Truck Licence,

• Excavator,

• White Card, and

• First Aid Certificate

This position also requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check), current WH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White) and current Manual Driver’s License.

Any other site-specific training will be organised for you by Proterra Group.
