About the opportunity
The Public Programs and Events Officer is a new and exciting role in talks programming and Events. In this cross functional marketing role, you will have the opportunity to work on wide-ranging events including ceremonies, launches, conferences and public lectures, festivals and cultural activities; as well as digital content and marketing for events. This fast paced and highly varied position will enable you to utilise your creativity to engage diverse audiences through a range of formats including podcast, video and social media.
About you
- proven experience in a similar events support role in a multifaceted organisation
- can unpack complex ideas and make accessible to an audience
- working knowledge of software programs such as Concur, and content management systems such as SharePoint together with some knowledge of HTML coding desirable
- has an aptitude and openness for digital literacy for event execution
- strong collaborator and fosters positive relationships across a diverse stakeholder base
- analytical and evaluates protocols for the effectiveness of event campaigns

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
