The role: 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Portfolio Accountant to join our onsite team based in Sydney. 

The Portfolio Accountant provides property accounting services for a busy National Portfolio. This position works closely with the dedicated team within our Client Financial Services team working to achieve the outcomes required by our client.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide month end reporting to the client, including preparation of accruals, prepayments, IFRS adjustments and variance reporting.
  
• Respond to client queries in relation to monthly reports.
  
• Preparation of yearly property outgoings, preparation of tenant reconciliations and year property budgets and forecasts.
  
• Preparation of bank reconciliation for review.
  
• Work with the team to perform take on of new property set ups.
  
• Raise ad-hoc tenant charges.
  
• Assist and perform ad hoc project work as required.
  
• Input budget and forecast data into accounting system (MRI) 
  

Who are we looking for?

• Degree qualification in Accounting
  
• 1 to 2 years’ experience working in Management and Financial accounting
  
• Understanding of the property industry (Desirable)
  
• Strong client service focus
  
• Excellent Excel skills, (Pivot, Vlookup)
  
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  
• Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
  
• Ability to work as part of a team
  
• Accounting software (MRI) (Desirable)
