The role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Portfolio Accountant to join our onsite team based in Sydney.
The Portfolio Accountant provides property accounting services for a busy National Portfolio. This position works closely with the dedicated team within our Client Financial Services team working to achieve the outcomes required by our client.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide month end reporting to the client, including preparation of accruals, prepayments, IFRS adjustments and variance reporting.
- Respond to client queries in relation to monthly reports.
- Preparation of yearly property outgoings, preparation of tenant reconciliations and year property budgets and forecasts.
- Preparation of bank reconciliation for review.
- Work with the team to perform take on of new property set ups.
- Raise ad-hoc tenant charges.
- Assist and perform ad hoc project work as required.
- Input budget and forecast data into accounting system (MRI)
Who are we looking for?
- Degree qualification in Accounting
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working in Management and Financial accounting
- Understanding of the property industry (Desirable)
- Strong client service focus
- Excellent Excel skills, (Pivot, Vlookup)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Accounting software (MRI) (Desirable)
