The Role - Delivering the Vision The Portfolio Category Manager position is a key Procurement position leading a sizeable team of Category Managers and Category Specialists with responsibility for a substantial category portfolio of directs spend including Maintenance, Engineering Services, MRO, Chemicals, Equipment, Spare Parts and Energy for example. In addition to mentoring, coaching and inspiring your sizeable team, this position will support the senior procurement leadership team in achieving strategic goals. You will leverage your full procurement skillset including people leadership to drive optimal outcomes. This position combines your crisp commercial vision with best in class procurement outcomes that will be achieved by inspiring and motivating your category management team to deliver measurable success. Needless to say, this role requires you to take ownership of your people, process and performance that delivers results. This position has a high profile internally and you will be working closely with major business units to develop and communicate a clear approach and execute your vision whilst ensuring your team manages the full end-to-end category responsibilities.Is this You?You will have a proven track-record of success delivering wins in the procurement arena. You will be a confident, yet approachable, senior procurement manager with a genuine gravitas to influence, who can combine Team Leadership as well as draft strategy plans and ensure their successful execution. You will inspire and support your Category Managers to deliver category management strategies and optimised outcomes. You will be adept at communicating procurement to key stakeholders and work to ensure the attainment of best-in-class solutions as part of an end-to-end category remit.
