The Portfolio Management Team within Allianz Technical Division is seeking an experienced Portfolio Lead with strong data and analytical capability to help deliver on the overall CTP Portfolio Strategy. You'll be responsible for
- Support the preparation and implementation of the portfolio strategies for products/portfolios under the role remit, incorporating insights from market, competitors and customer research, and ensuring it is appropriately reflected in our annual Financial Plan.
- Monitor and analyse the market and competitor's activities, portfolio performance and provide insights to support the achievement of portfolio strategy and financial targets.
- Drive analysis of the risk appetite and underwriting rules as input to the target market determination and monitoring its adherence to the risk appetite.
- Monitor exposure in line with accumulation management requirements.
- Analyse the portfolio, including identifying result drivers, variations from target and the preparing communication to convey findings.
- Monitor trends and growth opportunities, including the identification of underperforming segments and suggesting appropriate actions to remediate underperformance.
- Contribute to enterprise financial planning processes.
- Implement pricing decisions including the testing and communication to stakeholders.
- Support implementation of rating tool changes and additional data sources to enhance portfolio performance.
- Significant experience in a product and/or portfolio analytics, development or management role in a complex matrixed general insurance organisation.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen by using insights related to the market, opportunities, risks and competitors within the insurance industry as well as the dynamic levers that influence these factors.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity and contribute to the provision of pragmatic commercial solutions to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to explore business insights and trends to identify and translate potential for operational improvement, growth and/or cost saving opportunities.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
