Position:Positive Behaviour Support Clinician 

Location: Forensic Mental Health Sector, NDIS 

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience) 

Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Positive Behaviour Support plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals within the Forensic Mental Health sector.
• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and analyses to identify triggers and develop appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and support staff, to ensure holistic care and support.
• Provide training and guidance to support staff and caregivers on implementing PBS strategies effectively.
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to review progress and adjust strategies as needed.
• Stay updated on best practices, research findings, and emerging trends in Positive Behaviour Support and Forensic Mental Health.

Requirements:

• Minimum registration level of Proficient
• Proven experience in Positive Behaviour Support within the context of Forensic Mental Health or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities.
