About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our fantastic team of practitioners and disability specialists to become an integral part of our expansion. The Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will undertake the following activities:

• Develop and implement BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT plans and functional behaviour assessments
• Identify, report and monitor restrictive practices 
• Provide direct therapeutic and behaviour interventions and post-incident support
• Work collaboratively with participants, families, informal supports and external providers
• Facilitate skill development within the service
• Participate in the strategic direction of the organisation

The role is available on a full or part time basis.

Key Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualifications in allied health eg Developmental Education, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science or related discipline
• Ability to meet Q&SC Capability Framework at Core Practitioner level or above 
• At least 12 months experience providing Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS preferred
• A strong understanding of the NDIS and Practice Standards
• Proven experience working with people living with complex disability
• Thorough understanding of intellectual disability, neurodiversity, mental health and trauma
• Demonstrated ability to utilise data collection tools, collate information and analyse and prepare reports
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise key demands
• Assess service delivery risks and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Demonstrated management skills and vision for future growth are highly desirable
• Valid driving licence and willingness to use own vehicle for travel
• NDIS worker screening, DHS Working with Children and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
