ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
Based at our Fitzroy campus, we are seeking a Postnatal Midwifery Unit Manager to continue to drive excellence in patient and family centred care at SVPHM. This great opportunity will have you joining a high performing and multidisciplinary team where you will be responsible for providing overall clinical management to the postnatal ward.
This role will be full time working 38 hours hours per week ( job share will be considered dependent on applicant suitability) and will be pivotal in progressing the team and exemplary midwifery care into our new maternity space.
You will bring your holistic midwifery passion to the role where evidence based quality care is forefront of everything we do at St Vincent's Private .
You will bring your extensive clinical knowledge and management experience in maternity services to this role. As a leader in the organisation coach and support staff in order to optimise customer and organisational outcomes.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);
- Providing the overall clinical management of the postnatal ward, including staff, financial, patients and Accredited Medical Practitioners (AMPs).
- Developing and supporting effective working relationships with AMPs
- Exhibiting leadership and utilise team building strategies to promote continuous improvement to workplace culture.
- Working collaboratively with other departments and campuses to share knowledge and create opportunities for improvement

ABOUT YOU:
As the successful candidate you will have;
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Registered Midwife or Dual enrolled as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Management experience in Maternity services
- Current advanced clinical knowledge and experience in relevant specialty
- Demonstrated competence in using electronic information systems
- The ability to lead, coach and support clinical team to optimize customer and organisational outcomes
