An exciting opportunity work on a big exhibition project coming to Perth soon!
This would be a 6-month contract position, reporting to the PR Communications and Media Manager.
The suitable candidate will be working on an exciting (street art) project coming to Perth.
Your new role
- Ticketing pre-promotion and pre-sales
- Heavy upfront PR focus for the exhibition announcement launch and roll-out across various media and marketing platforms.
- Working with the PR Communications Manager, the candidate will deliver national and local media strategy and outcomes, including but not limited to street press, digital, TV.
- Experiential and Commercial PR support - There is an "experience" attached to this exhibition. We request a strategy to sit alongside the exhibition PR that ensures maximum exposure for the artist and associated experiences. This should translate to tickets sales for the exhibition and events.
- Identifying niche PR opportunities to promote all aspects of the exhibition and associated events.
- Coordination of social content and works alongside the organisation's internal Digital and Socials Content Producer to ensure social content is across the necessary channels.
What you'll need to succeed
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Prior experience in State or Federal Government publishing, journalism, or communications would be highly advantageous
- Proven experience in public relations or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with a particular focus on writing and editing communication publications, articles, media statements and material for online environments.
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience in working as a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in public relations, journalism, media, communications or relevant discipline.
- Previous experience within Arts industry
