Your new role
Communications
- Work closely withleadership group to develop and implement an integrated Communication and PRplan, to drive attendance to various events and increase the use of the venuefor out of Show events and functions
- Work closely with theCommunity Engagement and Marketing Manager to develop an overarching ContentStrategy and Plan, going across all aspects of the business, includingredevelopment
- Work with variousbusiness units, Commercial, Sections, to support their objectives and KPI’s, bydeveloping whole of business integrated Communication & PR strategies
- Working closely withthe Marketing Specialist to deliver the communications component for allmarketing campaigns
- Work closely with theMarketing Specialist to develop and implement the Communications & PRstrategy plan to promote various events to key stakeholders and new markets
- Support the Marketingteam to develop the longform content for social and digital channels
- Assisting in thedevelopment of website(s) and social media content
- Support functions andassociated activity pre and during the events, as required with specificthird-party venue hire and for all other events and functions, whereappropriate
- Provide Communications& PR support to the Corporate Partnerships Lead and Sponsors as required
- Manage internal andexternal communication programs for the redevelopment of the event venue asrequired by the Strategic Business Plan
- Develop our overallinternal and external Communications Plan for the organisation
- Provide written andapplication support for all Award and Grant submissions
- Manage theCommunications & PR budget component of the overall Marketing budget,including all necessary financial processing
- Other duties asidentified by the Community Engagement and Marketing Manager
Media and PR
- Develop our MediaStrategy and plan, outlining key targets and KPI’s
- Develop strong andongoing relationships with key media contacts as per the Media Strategy andPlan
- Write all mediareleases and support all sections with written requirements including reports,newsletters and general content (ie Annual Report, Members’ publication,Volunteer and Member newsletters)
- Work closely with CEOand President on ensuring they are media ready (including training, suppliedwith briefing packs to optimise media opportunities)
- Manage the “Media”database and media monitoring process
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiaryqualifications in Communications ore related discipline
- Experience managingGovernment relations
- Demonstratedexperience supporting C suite with Media and Communications
- Extensive experiencecreating content strategy/plans and proactively seeking a broad spectrum ofcontent (breadth and depth)
- Extensive experiencein developing and implementing effective communications plans
- Proven experience indeveloping and implementing communication plans to support marketing campaignsto drive strong business outcomes
- Proven copywriting andstorytelling experience
- Proven experience incomposing written communications for broad situations and audiences
- Experience in dealingwith the Media, building strong relationships and connections
- Demonstratedexperience in developing, setting up and running Media-Led events
- Experience with Mediamanagement, KPI setting and Media monitoring
- Experience inproducing Annual Reports
- Experience in writingMedia Releases and Announcements

- Exceptionalinterpersonal skills including strong relationship-building and stakeholderengagement
- Excellent projectmanagement skills encompassing self-directed, highly organised andresults-oriented skills with the ability to work with various teams andexternal companies
- Sound judgment anddecision-making ability

- Highly organised andwill have worked in a very fast paced environment with high outcomeexpectations
- Ability to multi-taskmultiple dynamic projects at once, with a strong ability to prioritise work andeffectively manage own time
