Reporting to the PR, Product, Training & Events Manager, this role will assist in the development and implementation of public relations, product launches and Dealer and training event for the SAPL automobile department.
Responsibilities will include but are not restricted to;
- Develop content that aligns to the overarching marketing and media strategy.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with motoring journalists and media.
- Work closely with the business to identify new opportunities for generating newsworthy and engaging content.
- Develop and distribute content and press releases and monitor media
- Plan, implement and co-ordinate all major events.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience across all communication channels, particularly at events.
- Provide a high level of administrative support including budgeting (tracking and coordinating budgets), database management and post event reporting.
- Explore new ways to successfully drive desired outcomes and keep up with industry trends and adapt work accordingly.
Successful applicant will have the following:
- Tertiary degree in PR, marketing or journalism
- Experience in the automobile industry is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation skills
- High attention to detail
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills
- A strong work ethic – deadline driven, organised and the ability to work with sense of urgency
