Practice Assistant (Document Specialist)
Your role
You'll be a part of our Practice Support team and work closely with legal operatives and Practice Executives to provide administrative and operational assistance across a diverse range of tasks in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office.
The Document Specialist sits within the Central Support Team and also provides specialist document assistance across a diverse range of tasks within Central Support.
As a Document Specialist, you will:
- Demonstrate an advanced level of skill and accuracy for all relevant document production software including Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and any other document management software utilised by the firm
- Work within document templates and styles, with high levels of complex document manipulation and formatting, to produce high quality documentation
- Transcription of audio files
- Experience creating charts, diagrams, flow charts and desktop publishing in PowerPoint and Visio would be advantageous
- Provide operational support within Central Support to legal operatives within the firm, adapting to the changing needs of the role and the business
- Work as a national team to deliver high quality work on time by drawing on appropriate resources, technical products and skills within the team
- Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions to technical issues that arise
- Work collaboratively with members within and outside of Practice Support to ensure high quality of work and standard of services is delivered to all internal and external stakeholders
- Have a can do and proactive approach, including accepting tasks outside of the general scope of duties.
- Develop relationships with legal operatives and within the broader Practice Support team.
About you
You will have:
- Experience working in a legal, finance, accounting or other professional services firms
- At least one year's previous experience in a similar role
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and information management tools such as Outlook, and a minimum typing speed of 80wpm.
