About NEST Family Clinic: NEST Family Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic bringing together a wide range of medical and support services under the one roof. We offer families access to more efficient, more effective, and more informed care and support. Our team comprises of specialists, allied health clinicians, GPs, and nurses. We are a fully accredited, private billing general practice and pride ourselves on providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare. NEST was cofounded by Psychiatrists, Dr Sam Margis and Dr Fran Arcuri and they run the clinic together with their dedicated Operations Manager, Finance Manager and Practice Manager. The Role: We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Practice Manager to manage the GP and Nursing team at NEST. This role supports the Operations Manager and Principal GP in the smooth and efficient day to day operation of our GP practice, provides leadership to the reception and nursing team and ensures we maintain a high standard of patient care. NEST is currently in a period of transition after having undergone a recent physical and service expansion. NEST continues to grow and the successful applicant will help shepherd NEST into its next significant stage of expansion. It creates an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Practice Manager and as such the role has a handsome remuneration package. Responsibilities Overseeing and ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day running and operation of the GP and nursing clinic. Maintain knowledge of and comply with relevant Government legislation and regulation that relates to NEST and its General Practice. Provide direct support and administrative assistance to GPs and ensure the GP environs are maintained to a satisfactory level as determined by the Principal GP. Regular liaison with Principal GP and Operations Manager regarding clinical operations of the General Practice. Maintain knowledge of and comply with relevant Government legislation and regulation that relates to NEST. Maintain knowledge of and comply with GP Accreditation requirements, including overseeing GP accreditation process every 3 years. Involvement in reception and nursing staff training, support, and supervision. Overseeing the coordination of, GP and nursing staff rosters and leave coverage. Involvement in recruitment and training of new staff (reception and nursing) and GPs. Participation in the evaluation, development and implementation of policies and procedures. Regular liaison with NEST Finance Manager with respect to bookkeeping systems and periodic financial statements for the NEST General Practice where relevant. Assist the Operation Manager to oversee the smooth running of the IT system and liaison with NEST IT provider as required. Assist the Operations Manager in maintenance of the NEST website to ensure all information is accurate and up to date. Awareness of patient complaints and compliments of the General Practice and responding where appropriate. Involvement in quality reviews and the promotion of patient satisfaction including responding to GP critical incidents, including follow up debriefing of patients and/or staff as required. Involvement in NEST marketing and promotion especially for the General Practice. Optimising the cross-pollination of the multidisciplinary components of NEST. Regular liaison with key stakeholders relating the GP practice. Qualifications Proven experience as a Practice Manager in a large (more than 5 full-time equivalent GPs) GP clinic for at least five years Leadership, management, and motivational skills Sound and effective communication skills (verbal and written) Decision making competence. Ability to devise and review systems for operational efficiency and control. Sound understanding of the financial requirements of a small to medium business.
