We currently have an opportunity at our Rye Beach Hospital for a part-time, experienced Practice Manager.
About the role
The position will oversee the hospital's daily running and staff management. Supported by a senior management team, the successful applicant does not need to have veterinary skills or previous experience in the vet industry. Instead, this role will be responsible for managing the business, the people, and the client experience side of things, so the successful candidate needs to be a champion in these areas.
The position includes the following responsibilities:
- Performance management and development of the teams
- Ensuring high standards and consistent client experience is achieved
- Managing a budget and achieving operational efficiency
- Purchasing and monitoring of stock on hand levels
- Management and upkeep of the facility and equipment
- Overseeing the clinic rostering – including organising sick leave coverage as required
- Ensuring the day-to-day operation of the hospital runs smoothly and efficiently
About you

- Proven experience in a management role
- First-class interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a team
- A passionate, committed, and ethical approach to work
- Experience in managing resources to achieve agreed business objectives
- Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills
- Passion and experience in ensuring a team delivers an exceptional client experience
- Qualifications in business management, HR, or customer service will also be highly regarded
