About Us: CQ Medicentre is a privately owned GP practice with two busy locations in Rockhampton. Supporting a group of 12 independent General Practitioners across the two clinics – CQ Medicentre Northside and CQ Medicentre Southside – there is a team of well-trained support staff (reception and nursing), along with allied health professionals. Both practices are open Weekdays and Saturday mornings, and are conveniently located within local shopping complexes.
Position Overview: We are currently recruiting for a full-time Practice Manager to lead the team. In this role, you will be pivotal to ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of both clinics. You will be supported by a capable Reception Manager and Nurse Manager, allowing you to focus on the practice management, staff coordination and positive patient journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of two clinic locations, ensuring seamless and efficient functioning.
- Collaborate with the Reception Manager and Nurse Manager to manage staff, schedules, and workflow.
- Implement and maintain clinic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with RACGP standards and industry regulations.
- Manage financial aspects of the practice, including budgeting, billing, and reporting.
- Work with independent GPs, staff and patients to address any concerns and manage service delivery.
- Foster a positive workplace and lead by example to promote teamwork, professionalism etc.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers as needed.

What we need you to have:
- A can-do attitude and strong leadership skills.
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager or proven experience in a 2IC role.
- Good understanding of business operations, financial reporting and compliance within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Skilled at multi-tasking, problem-solving and time management.
