Practice Manager (Allied Health/Outpatient Services)

The Position
We are seeking an experienced and self-starting, innovative Manager to lead our team in the delivery of professional business services to our Specialists, Visiting Medical Officers, Allied Health Department and patients at our Medical Consulting Suites and associated FSPH business services. This role has the primary responsibility to coordinate and ensure the delivery of exceptional service to our patients and VMO’s including front-line customer service, and business support in the form of secretarial, financial, software, systems, rostering and assist in body corporate caretaking activities. This is a hands-on role with a strong office and practice management focus.

The Person
Key Selection Criteria for this position includes:

1. Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role involving the management of complex service provision, staff and resources to achieve business objectives (ideally within a hospital, healthcare or general practice environment).
2. Working knowledge of medical services and medical terminology relevant to outpatient service operations in a private or public hospital setting.
3. Ideally suited to an applicant with a Degree in Health Information Management or Undergrad or Post Graduate Education in Business and or Management is desirable.
4. Marketing/Business Development skills and experience is highly regarded
5. High level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to successfully problem solve, manage conflict, negotiate and develop strong working relationships with a variety of highly educated stakeholders.
6. Advanced computer literacy and ability to trend, interpret and report data and information (experience with Practice Management Software is highly desirable).
7. Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in actively monitoring and managing financial budgets with successful outcomes.
8. Experience working with diverse funding and service delivery models including private practice, DVA, NDIS and Aged Care.
9. Working knowledge of HR, IR and WH&S best practice relevant to a professional services environment and proven ability to apply this in the workplace.
