Practice Manager

Fortify Health Group, a health and disability organisation supporting adults and children within Southeast Queensland. We believe in the power of a multidisciplinary approach, and our team of professionals includes psychologists, social workers, counsellors, a psychiatrist, occupational therapists and physiotherapist. We are currently seeking a Practice Manager to join our team, working across all Fortify offices in South-East Queensland - Mount Gravatt, Springwood and Coomera.
Position Overview:
As a Practice Manager at Fortify Health Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our offices. You will provide support and supervision to Health Support Officers, oversee bookings and POS billing, manage new referrals, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (including a variety of service delivery contractors), and ensure timely responses to queries and referrals. This position requires a detailed understanding of mental health, disability, the NDIS, and Medicare systems. Your management expertise will be crucial in leading our team to success. In addition, you will also oversee workplace health and safety, office supplies, office setup, and contribute to nurturing a positive office culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee practice operations across all Fortify Health Group offices within Southeast Queensland (currently Springwood, Mount Gravatt and Coomera). This includes:
Staff Supervision: Provide supervision to Health Support Officers (HSOs, currently 4 staff). It will be expected that you provide guidance, support, and coverage as needed to manage front of house operations.
Referral and Client Journey Management: Management of new referrals, including acceptance and processing of referrals promptly, ensuring all necessary information is collected and the participant’s journey is of high quality from the moment they make contact. You will be required to oversee the HSO’s participant bookings, ensuring efficient and effective scheduling of appointments and services, and complete regular feedback surveys to support and understand a participant’s experience with us.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture and relationships that promote referrals and collaboration with new and existing stakeholders, including service providing contractors, referrers, as well as providing caring and responsive coordination of services with our participants and their family members or other supports to build trust and promote our offices as safe, welcoming places.
Client Management Systems: It is expected that you have strong knowledge of practice management or client record management systems, as well as NDIS, Medicare and private billing, and have strong communication skills both verbally and in writing to be able to investigate and resolve issues as required.
Compliance: Meeting compliance requirements is essential within the Health sector and the NDIS.
