Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for bookkeeping and management? We are currently seeking a Practice Manager with exceptional bookkeeping skills to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Managing Director as the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes while overseeing the day-to-day activities of our bookkeeping department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping Excellence: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries across multiple entities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Client Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor bookkeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and implement best practices to streamline workflows.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including tax requirements and industry guidelines.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software systems and third party apps effectively to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
Qualifications:
- Min Cert IV Bookkeeping
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management roles
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Xero a must)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Leadership and team management experience is a plus
