A new and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced “hands-on” Practice Manager to join a busy specialist Urology practice located in the medical precinct of North Melbourne. Working alongside your colleagues, your day will fly by as you manage a busy front desk.
Our client has a special interest in high-risk urological cancer surgery. He prides himself in providing patients with informative health care services. You must have the expertise of strong coordination/organisational skills with the drive to succeed. This role is offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, or for the right candidate 4 days per week can be negotiated. The successful candidate will be rewarded by working in a well-established, highly organised, and supportive team environment. Salary is negotiable dependent on skill level and experience and with the bonus of a secure undercover car space.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for managing other support staff.
• General management of the office including ordering supplies
• Diary, appointment, and email management
• Use of Genie medical software (changing to Xestro).
• Scanning and digital filing (paperless office)
• Responding to patient inquiries.
• Running consulting sessions
• Invoicing and receipt of patient accounts.
• Invoicing and receipting of Health Fund accounts.
• Eclipse billing
• Theatre bookings and billing
• Anesthetist bookings
• Liaising with other health professionals and hospitals, pathology and radiology companies and health funds
• Banking, accounts payable and receivable, end-of-month statements and debt collection
• Records management (digital and paper)
• Maintenance of computer hardware and software, liaising with IT support
• Liaising with bookkeeper
• PA duties / Attending to some personal matters for the specialist doctor.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous PM experience in a busy surgical practice
• Computer savvy with knowledge of medical practice software (Genie and Xestro experience desirable).
• Knowledge of processing Medicare and health funds
• Clear communication skills
• Professionally attired
• Proven employment stability – loyal and reliable.

The successful candidate will exhibit a professional and caring attitude towards all patients and display high attention to detail.
