Practice Manager (Parental Leave Relief)

The position available is:

• Closed-term Full-time until 31 March 2025
• Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated with preferred candidate, part-time will also be considered
• Working Monday to Friday 
• Flexibility to be based at ourParramatta or Castle Hill office (with travel required between both sites)

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation supporting young people aged 12-25 years with their mental & general health care needs. headspace provides early intervention mental health services to young people who present with mental health issues, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. headspace brings together local health services under the one roof making it easier for young people and their families to find the information they need.

As the headspace Practice Manager, you will work under the direction of the Clinical & Operations Manager, to provide office management and administrative support functions for the headspace teams at Parramatta and Castle Hill.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Provide office management and administrative support to headspace operations
• Coordinate the recruitment and induction of new headspace staff
• Ensure appropriate documentation for credentialing, registration, insurance & service agreements of private practitioners
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of medical & client records
• Oversee daily financial operations, including conducting Medicare billing reviews, reconciliation of invoices, delivering invoices and creating reports
• Be responsible for the administration of internal & external audits of staff files & service delivery etc

The Practice Manager will be responsible for providing support to Parramatta & Castle Hill. 

1. Possession of tertiary qualifications in business management, administration, finance, or human resources.
2. Have a minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role(s).
3. Are able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of allied health/ medical practice management.
4. Have excellent understanding and knowledge of Medicare billing, Electronic Medical Records, and the Australian health system.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Have a high degree of computer literacy, including demonstrated experience with report writing and electronic client information management systems.
