Manager Primary Care Practice Liaison

Location | Flexible – Erina, Newcastle, Tamworth or Armidale
Hours | Full-time (1.0FTE, 38 hours/week)

Annual full-time equivalent salary | $105,646 - $112,864 + super + salary packaging*

About the role
Are you keen to lead a team supporting Primary Care providers with an innovative support and business development model? An opportunity has been created by the development of a new role of Manager Primary Care Practice Development (MPCPD) works in the Primary Care Portfolio to deliver on the PHN’s strategic objectives by engaging with Primary Health Care Providers (General Practices) to improve their viability and sustainability. The overall goal is to support and manage Primary Care Development Officers when they engage with General Practices to support equitable access to high-quality health care for people in communities. 

The role is multifaceted and will develop and deliver strategic initiatives aimed at coordinating support to general practice businesses to ensure practices maximise financial success, achieve efficient and effective business operations, deliver high quality health care services and to optimise the workforce capacity of the whole general practice team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience and/or qualifications in business management, business ownership, business or professional coaching and/or development, stakeholder liaison, consultancy, advisory, finance, Human Resources, adult learning, and primary health care businesses.
  • Excellence in values-based leadership which instils a common set of values in all partnerships, improving their cohesiveness and willingness to work.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, project management, high level facilitation, consensus-building, consultation and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence stakeholder behaviour and drive the adoption of change.
  • Proven ability to develop and undertake projects that enhance patient centred healthcare and consider the Quadruple AIM approach as part of the project evaluation. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of contemporary information technology and computer applications, including data manipulation and analysis.

Additional Information
*Salary: This role is classified as Grade M - R within our Enterprise Agreement and the rate will be dependent on skills and experience/qualifications. 

The current PHN policy requires employees to have received 3 Primary doses of an approved COVID-19 Vaccination.
