An exciting position has become available for an experienced, friendly and personable Practice Manager who can continue to drive the growth and performance of a private Orthopaedic specialist practice located in Brisbane's CBD. The role is multifaceted and requires someone with managerial / financial skills, business acumen accompanied by a passion for the healthcare industry.
THE POSITION
Our client a busy orthopaedic surgeon is looking for an experienced Practice Manager who is ready to lead and manage their well established specialist practice based at Spring Hill.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Working within this small friendly practice, the Practice Manager's responsibility will be to oversee the effective running of the practice.
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of running a private specialist practice including the day to day administrative duties, financial and human resource management as well as some marketing and business development. Proven experience in the following essential:
- Providing high standard of customer service
- Development and maintenance of appropriate HR systems, policies and procedures
- Recruitment
- Providing professional and competent support to surgeon and admin team
- Ensuring maintenance of a high level of work standards across all roles within the practice
This key role within the practice involves being responsible for the effective and efficient day to day operations of the practice, ensuring the provision of high standards of service to patients, practitioner and the fostering of both internal and external relationships to the practice.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

- Competent computer skills, and experience with medical software (Genie preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge or previous experience working within an Orthopaedic practice highly desirable
Preferred applicants would have:
- Previous medical practice management experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High level interpersonal skills to relate well to patients, staff and health care professionals
- Expected behaviours and personal attributes
- Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
- Be always well-presented, friendly, courteous and obliging. Represent the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information.
- Work cooperatively and independently.
- Must be able to multi-task and oversee a small sized team.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
