Form of workBelmore Road Medical Centre in Balwyn is a Private Practice with 9 Doctors, we are seeking an Experienced highly motivated Div 1 nurse to join and lead our nursing team. Rostered during the Practice Hours 8.30am – 6.00pm. Saturday 9.00am-midday.
Knowledge of Best Practice Premier would be an advantage.
Airborne infection-controls including Covid precautions are practised throughout patient-facing areas - with masks, air filters and air quality monitoring.
Successful applicants will be rostered for regular shifts. Willingness to cover additional hours in times of heavier demand will be highly valued.
Experience working in general practice, maternal and child health or as a registered nurse immuniser would be an advantage.
Working in a busy practice, your work will encompass diverse areas including preventive health activities, assistance with procedures, vaccinations and patient follow up.
Practice Nurse Duties include:-
Wound Care, Health Assessments, Recalls, Immunisations including child and Covid vaccines, CVAS stock control and reporting, Cold Chain Management, Infection Control, Chronic Health Disease Management, Auditing of data.
- Preparing consulting rooms
- Setting up and assisting Iron Infusions, Implanon and other procedures
- Immunisations (babies to adults) & Covid
- Accurate recording of patient notes
- Stock control and ordering
- Assisting with the administration needs of the practice, answering phones, booking appointments
- Training of new nurses
- Keeping and updating Staff immunisation records
This is an opportunity for an experienced nurse who likes building relationships with a patient and practice community.
