Position Profile:
Are you an experienced General Practice nurse looking for a change, then come and join our fantastic team.
The GP nurse role is to support clinical care within the context of a primary healthcare with a focus on improving health outcomes for our patients. This role is a supportive and complementary role to the General Practitioners of the Practice
Key Criteria:
- Registered Nurse licensed to Practice (AHPRA)
- Experience working in a Primary Care Setting
- Experience working with chronic illness and knowledge of chronic disease and care pathways, GPMP’s TCA’s
- Ability to complete health assessment
- Sterilisation
- General vaccinations
- Cold chain management
- Wiling to complete COVID vaccination training
Job Requirements:
The Practice Nurse is required to:
Undertake health screening and health monitoring activities including ECG, spirometry, preventative health activities including health assessment, immunisation and opportunistic health education
Assist with triage and acute presentations In our 3 bay treatment room. Assist with minor procedures and wound care. As well as other clinical tasks requested by the General Practitioner.
Monitor infection control processes including compliance with sterilisation guidelines. Maintain the cold chain systems and other medicine storage. Maintain Accreditation standards.
Recognise the need for ongoing education and training. Maintain skills in CPR and immunisation via the relevant training.
