Narangba Station Medical Centre – Practice Nurse position RN or EN
An exciting opportunity to join Narangba Station Medical Centre – a Doctor Owned General Practice located in Narangba QLD.
The practice was newly established less than 12 months ago and is conveniently located directly across from the Narangba Train Station and next to the Narangba Village Shopping Complex.
Our practice provides a wide range of medical services, including general consultations, chronic disease management, Veterans' care, plant-based medicine, hormone treatment, health assessments, immunisations and mental health support – just to name a few.
Casual Hourly Rate: $35 - $47 Based on your skills, experience and qualifications.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse with excellent organisational and clinical skills to join the growing team on a casual basis. The role will be two days per week - Monday and Tuesday. Flexibility to cover sick leave and annual leave would be desirable.
In this role, you will have strong focus on providing patient centred care and will be driven to achieve positive patient outcomes.
As part of the clinical team, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical operations of the practice and working alongside our experienced and passionate medical practitioners.
Key responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Chronic disease management.
• Health assessments.
• Wound management.
• Diabetic assessments.
• Medical stock control.
• Immunisations and cold chain management.
• Infection control.
• Triage – over the phone and in person.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures as required.
• CVC Care Plans.
• Iron Infusions.
• Adhering to RACGP standards for General Practice and assisting with practice accreditation.
The successful candidate will be:
• AHPRA Registered.
• Hold a Registered or Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• A qualified nurse immuniser (desirable).
• Committed to ongoing training and development.
• Always maintaining patient and staff confidentiality.
• Experienced in a General Practice setting.
• Experienced in Best Practice medical software (desirable).
• Experienced in IV Cannulation (desirable).
• Experienced in managing and running a CVC Program (desirable).
