Preferred suppliers are a statewide network of private law firms that deliver legal services on behalf of Legal Aid Queensland. As the coordinator, you are leading the Business Development function to attract and retain Preferred Suppliers to do legal aid work for disadvantaged clients.
Legal Aid Queensland's Executive Services division plays an important role providing executive support to the chief executive officer and providing corporate legal services. It also manages the organisation's strategic policy, and communication and community legal education functions.
In this role you will:
- Analyse data to determine where Legal Aid Queensland needs more suppliers to deliver services, and in which areas of law, and use these results to guide Business Development activities.
- Research, develop and implement innovative and effective strategies to attract and retain Preferred Supplier firms.
- Visit prospective and existing Preferred Supplier firms throughout Queensland to develop professional networks, provide information and promote Legal Aid Queensland.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance Preferred Supplier access to resources and training.
- Work collaboratively to develop and implement the Preferred Supplier communication and engagement
- Work collaboratively to develop and distribute communication material and collateral for Preferred Supplier firms.
- Organise events for Preferred Suppliers to attend and establish ways to recognise and appreciate their work.
- Evaluate the Preferred Supplier Business Development pilot and make recommendations for future requirements.
About you
- You have marketing and/or Business Development experience, including developing and implementing communication and stakeholder engagement plans.
- You have a demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and manage work to achieve outcomes.
- You use information technology systems to research, analyse information and prepare reports.
- You build and sustain relationships with team members, other colleagues and external stakeholders.
- You provide prompt, courteous and professional services.
- You present and write in a clear, concise and articulate manner with a high standard of communication skills.
