Bombala Preschool is nestled in the picturesque snowy mountains, just 2 hours from Canberra, 1 hour from Cooma and around 1.5 hours to the coast to the East and snow to the West. Operated during school terms, we're open 40 weeks per year, 4 days per week. About Us: At Bombala Preschool, we take pride in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. We are committed to excellence in early childhood education, following Department of Education regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated leader to join our team as a Preschool Director. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our ECT, supportive committee and lead our team in delivering high-quality early childhood education to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership, support and guidance to our team, inspiring excellence and innovation in early childhood education.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the center in line with DET policies and procedures, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with all center policies, State Legislation, and National Quality Standards.
- Manage rosters and attendance, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement an innovative and developmentally appropriate curriculum alongside our ECT
- Collaborate with our enthusiastic committee to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and promote best practices.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, encouraging family engagement and creating a strong sense of community.
- Promote and market the service
Qualifications:
- ACECQA recognised Diploma of Children's Services or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or working towards either of these qualifications)previous experience an advantage, but not essential, training will be provided for the appropriate applicant.
- Strong knowledge of Department of Education regulations, NQS, and EYLF.
- Ability to develop, adhere to, and maintain a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Proven leadership experience in an early childhood education setting or other leadership positions will be considered.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
- Willingness to learn on the job, motivation and ability to think creatively.
