ABOUT THE ROLE – Can by Sydney OR Brisbane Based.
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head of Pricing and Promotions and the Pricing Managers to deliver brand and pricing strategies through value-based pricing, data driven insight and understanding of customer behaviour. The Pricing Analyst assists in optimising price and promotion to deliver incremental profit through the analysis of historical performance, current market conditions and competitive landscape. In addition, the Pricing Analyst optimises price markdowns, executes, and reports on major clearance campaigns.
The objective of the Pricing and Promotions Centre of Excellence (CoE) team is to provide expert advice and opinion to the SRG brands on all pricing and promotion matters. Partnering with the brand teams to deploy the pricing and promotions strategies which improve price performance, price messaging and price perception, delivering high quality analytics and insights to each brand to support them in pricing and promotions decisions and tracking performance impacts.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role, you will be a results driven and outcome focused individual, you will also bring:
- 3 + years’ of professional work experience preferably B2C
- Programming language (e.g. SQL, Python) or proficiency with a BI tool (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Ability to discern actionable insights from data and reports
- Experience in internal and external relationship management
- Retail business experience
- Ability to manage time, organise and set priorities to meet deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with cross-functional teams and various departments
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with large volumes of data
- Ability to learn and be comfortable with the various systems to support pricing and promotional analytics
